I specifically put all first-time customers into our computer. By the time we closed the brick-and-mortar in October, of the people who came into the shop for the first time on FCBD, we earned one regular customer and one return (just once) customer from FCBD.
The whole idea for Diamond Comic Distributors to push FCBD is to gain new customers. That wasn't the case for Death Ray Comics.
However, FCBD has becoming a launching point for many story arcs being promoted by publishers. I fully understand wanting to have those comics, especially now as key FCBD issues are selling at $10+ on eBay.
We at Death Ray Comics are proud to announce that we are allowing our customers to preorder any of the 50 FCBD comics that will be available May 2, 2015. The cost to our customers will be the cost of the comic book. As the great John Hunsaker says, "There's no such thing as a free lunch." And right he is.
So, if you've experienced the sheer horror that is FCBD, what with the "better than black Friday" mentality that strikes many adults as they line up with boxes for their booty, and would like to skip that whole fiasco, but still want the comics, the complete list of comics and their prices are listed below. Just submit which comics you'd like to the Death Ray Comics contact page, and we'll get them ordered and contact you for payment.
The FINAL ORDER CUTOFF DATE (FOC) has already passed on these comics, so the sooner you order them, the better chance you have of actually getting them.
